Paintings that hold the quiet of things
The Artist
I work in oils and mixed media, drawn to landscapes that carry an emotional weight — places where light lingers a little longer than it should, where the air feels held.
My paintings live somewhere between memory and observation. I'm not documenting a place; I'm trying to stay inside a feeling long enough to give it a form you can hang on a wall.
Based in Lahore, Pakistan — with a sketchbook that has no fixed address.

How I Work
Everything starts outside — in light, in weather, in the particular way a shadow falls across something unremarkable. I fill notebooks before I touch a canvas.
The first marks on a canvas are always wrong, and that's necessary. I work loose, then slowly tighten — always trying to keep what surprised me in the sketch.
A painting is done when nothing else I add makes it more true. Sometimes that takes a day. Sometimes it means walking away for a month and coming back fresh.
